Loopr Social

Building a social media platform is the ultimate test of full-stack engineering. With Loopr, my goal was to fuse traditional social networking with Generative AI, creating an ecosystem where content creation is powered by prompts. The primary technical challenge was architecting a scalable, real-time system that handles heavy media processing, instant messaging, and AI generation simultaneously without compromising user experience. I engineered the mobile application using Flutter for cross-platform performance and Supabase for a robust backend as a service. A standout feature is the custom built Realtime Messaging System, which supports media sharing, read receipts, and post forwarding all synchronized instantly across devices using Supabase Realtime and Firebase Cloud Messaging. Beyond the user-facing app, I developed a comprehensive Admin Panel for content moderation, analytics, and user management (banning/wiping data). The app also features complex privacy logic, such as ephemeral (timed) posts, granular profile visibility settings, and a hybrid feed algorithm that balances followed content with global exploration.
